New York, June 5, 2017 - Romano Denneboom (36) is also joining the New York Dutch Lions FC All Star Team in their game vs New York Cosmos B on June 16 at 6pm. Denneboom played in his youth career for vv Spijkenisse before signing his fist professional contract with Heerenveen in 1998. In his six years with the club he played 112 games scoring 23 goals. In his last year he was on loan with Willem II, where he scored 5 goals in 25 games before signing with NEC Nijmegen, where he played 94 games scoring 24 goals. In his first year with NEC he also made his debut for the Dutch National Team. After NEC he played for FC Twente (2007-2010), Sparta Rotterdam (both in the Netherlands) and Arminia Bielefeld (in the German Bundesliga). He played 308 games professionally scoring 61 goals.
