New York Dutch Lions FC annually organizes two games in June between a team of former Dutch National Team players and Central Park Soccer (CPS - a local team that consists of Dutch expats) and a local NPSL or USL League II team. In 2017 the All Stars also played New York Cosmos and in 2018 they also played New York Red Bulls.
In 2017 the team was coached by former New York Cosmos, Ajax and Feyenoord player and World Cup finalist Wim Rijsbergen, who was part of the legendary Dutch National Team in the seventies with Johan Cruijff, recognized for inventing the "Total Football" philosophy. Wim Rijsbergen was assisted by John de Wolf, former Feyenoord captain and winner of the UEFA CUP. The 2017 game vs New York Cosmos B was played at MCU Park, the second game in 2017 was played at Pier 41 vs CPS.
In 2018 the team was coached by Gerard van der Lem, who won the Dutch Championship four times with Ajax and twice with Barcelona. He also won the Champions League once. The 2018 games vs New York Red Bulls was played at MSU Stadium, the game vs CPS was played at Sinatra Park Soccer Field.
