Denny Landzaat played in the youth academy of Ajax Amsterdam and made his debut fort he first team the 1995-1996 season. He then played 102 games for MVV (scoring 10 goals), 139 games for Willem II (scoring 38 goals), 79 games for AZ Alkmaar (scoring 22 goals) before signing with Wigan Athletic in the English Premier League. At Wigan he played 52 games scoring 5 goals. After Wigan Landzaat transferred to Feyenoord where he played 38 games in two years scoring 5 goals. The last four years of his career he spent with FC Twente (43 games, 2 goals) and Willem II (9 games). Landzaat won the Dutch National Championship once (1996) and the Dutch CUP twice. He played 38 games for the Dutch National Team. He was also part of the Dutch squad in the World Championship in 2006.
