Michael Mols was elected “The legend of FC Utrecht” for his success at the Dutch Premier club. But 'Mighty Mike' scored everywhere he played, scoring 142 goals in various Premier Leagues. In 2009 he finished his career career at Feyenoord. Mols spend several years in the youth academy of Ajax. After Ajax he goes to Cambuur Leeuwarden in 1991 and becomes Champion of the First Division. He scores 13 goals in 43 games. In 1993, Mols transfers to FC Twente, where he playes for 3,5 seasons, scoring 26 times in 108 games. He then signs for FC Utrecht, where he becomes the club’s leading scorer. In his three seasons Mols scores 49 goals in 94 matches giving him an unprecedented popularity among the supporters who voted him as FC Utrecht 'legend'. He is noticed by several topclubs in Europe and signs with Glasgow Rangers from Scotland. In his five years with the club he scores 38 goals in 98 matches. After 5 season Rangers, Mols returns to the Netherlands. He returns to FC Utrect but then signs with ADO Den Haag, where he plays for 2 years scoring 8 goals in 61 games. Instead of retiring, Feyenoord appraches him to come to Rotterdam to replace their leading goal scorer Pierre van Hooijdonk. In his 2 years at Feyenoord he plays 36 games scoring 7 goals. He retires in 2009 at the age of 39. Mols played six games for the Dutch National Team, making his debut in 1995 against France. Mols was awarded “Player of the year” of the Netherlands in 1998/1999. He won the Dutch Cup once, the Scottisch Cup twice and the Scottish Championship twice.
